Statement
We have provided various weather resources on this page for information purposes only but please note the following statement:
Scotland's weather is notorious for being unpredictable and changeable. In any part of Scotland it would not be uncommon to have 4 seasons in one day.
Loch Lomond, however, is situated on the highland boundary fault line (where Highland's meets Lowland's) and this unique geography combined with the proximity of the close surrounding hills creates a local weather system which is even less predictable than the rest of Scotland.
As such; our experience of operating boats on a daily basis for 10 years tells us that the forecast for Loch Lomond is very rarely accurate. On some days it will be dry and sunny on one side of Loch Lomond but raining on the other side and who can predict that?
What we can tell you with certainty is that Loch Lomond boasts some of the finest scenery in Scotland, if not the world, and our advice would be that if you want to get out there and enjoy Scotland then it is best not to worry about the weather and to just get out there and do it!
